Hi,
Anyone knows how to force rip to use HSRP path?
Suppose 3 routers are connected to a switch and are advertising routes , Router A&B are HSRP redundant and c is the provider side,The problem is rip advertisement not recieved (On C)from the virtual address (which is pointing to active router A) and that would create a loop!!!!

Hi,
HSRP was introduce to provide High avaialabilty of your gateways for end stations. Also RIP advertises (boradcast/multicast) the routes. Hence your C router will learn routes via acutal ips only.
However if you want such redundancy, advisable to use staic routes in router c poin towards nex hop ip as virtual ip.
If you can let me know what u want to achive, along with complete topology may assist you with better solutions too..

The problem is router c is not in our network and we can't manage that router!!!
