Router with 10 GIG WAN Ethernet port

Hello,

We are planning to replace the existing router with Cisco router with at least 4 ten Gig port.I am thinking of 1000 series of cisco router.I am using it for BGP boarder router accepting full routing table.Pls suggest me if there is any better options.

Perhaps the ASR 9000 series, but the ASR 1000 series, as you note, should be able to provide what you need too.

The ASR1001-X has 6 Gigabit Ethernet interfaces and 2 Ten Gigabit Ethernet interfaces, this is the 1U unit with 1 expansion slot. 

The ASR1002-X has 6 Gigabit Ethernet interfaces and 0 Ten Gigabit Ethernet interface, this is the 2U unit with 3 expansion slot.
