A client is sending me via BGP 3 supernets and two unique IP's (that fall into the supernet address space) to my site 1 (that also fall into the supernet space being advertised). Additionally, the client is also sending me the same 3 supernets to my site two but also 2 unique IP's that are different from what is being sent to my site 1. I have identical distribute lists on my routers at site 1 and 2 with only the 3 supernet addressess. These 3 addresses are being propogated into my core but with different metrics - with the better metric being learned from site 1 router. My question is - if a client who is connecting to site 2 wants a packet returned to them will site 2 return it - or site 1? Both site 1 and 2 connected via my core. My core is learning the the 3 supernets with a better metric from site 1 versus site 2.
Much thanks,

The best way to check this way to would be to see the routing table at site 2. Client-Site2 is BGP i assume and your core is an IGP. As BGP AD is lowest, it will prefer BGP from Site 2. To avoid this, you can propogate the subnets as backdoor so that it will prefer IGP.
Can you paste the routing table from Site 2
