Hi guys,

not so in tact here about routing, need your advice.

I have an endpoint located internally of my network and I want to access my server located in DMZ. Now, this server is configured with only public IP address. Is it possible to have communication directly from private IP address to a public IP node?

Thanks

Hi,

Have you tried with a NAT?

Hi Julio,

actually, this internal network i am talking about is my remote access VPN.  So my remote access vpn once connected, i will be having an internal IP and i want to connect to my DMZ in which having a public IP servers.

Do I need to use NAT or directly IP to IP i can communicate?

thanks

Yes it's possible if you are in charge of the DMZ and the internal network and both hosts share a L3/L4 device that you control.. however based on your question and the scenario you put up.. I would say no it's not possible.. you will not be able to access your company's DMZ server on the Public IP directly from your Private IP.. contact your network admin and they will grant you access..
