RV320 Router 4G help

Our 911 center purchased a RV320 to be used solely for 4G internet access via ethernet connection.  On the compatibility list includes Verizon's new USB730L.  Trying to set it up and it doesn't seem to recognize the device.  Contacted Verizon and they tell me too factor reset...  Was wondering if anyone could assist in some of the parameters needed to get it running?

Thanks

Hello,

is your RV320 running the latest firmware, release 1.4.2.22 ?

Yes it is.

Hello,

is the USB light on the router off, or showing any of the colors listed in the section 'USB Modem Initialization and Connection Status via the USB Light' in the document linked below ?

https://www.cisco.com/c/dam/en/us/td/docs/routers/csbr/rv320/USB_Compatibility_Matrix/Rv320x_compatibility_matrix.pdf

There are no USB lights showing on the right side of the router, and on the config page it says 3G/4G modem not available

Hello,

no lights on BOTH USB ports ? If the router boots normally, chances are that the dongle itself might be the problem. Can you plug it into some other device, just to check if it is recognized at all ?

Yeah, there are no LEDs indicating USB.  I tried both ports.  I have also use the modem on my desktop into a USB port and it works just fine.

There are LEDs lit on the modem itself, just not on the router.

Hello,

not good. Have you tried to reset the RV320 to factory defaults (page 61 of the attached guide) ?
