Hi,
For a T1 link to 2 remote sites, our Cisco SE spec'd a 2951 with a HWIC-4T1/E1 at the remote end, and a 3925, also with a HWIC-4T1/E1 at the central site.
In considering exactly how these things are going to connect, I've come up with some (probably) simple questions. As in:
Our existing T1 lines are connected using 3745s with WIC/VIC-T1 cards, but these connections were set up long ago by people long gone...

1. it can be. depends on how the carrier terminates the service in your facility
2. sounds about right. Wouldn't go any farther.
3. straight thru DCE - DTE
4. Why wouldn't you? its pretty easy. I would think that doing an external would complicate things.
