Switch with Broadband

hi guys ... here i have one doubt....

for eg

i have two BB connection one is 8mbps and another one is 4mbps.. in this case i ill connect to those BB connection in one switch which has 24 mbps capability ... my question is can i get the output of 12 mbps or not?

what kind of switch is this? Are you sure is not 24 mpps that means 24 millions of packet per second of forwarding capabilities that is a different matter.

no no switch bandwidth is only for an example.... my question is can i get the total bandwidth(8mbps + 4mbps=12mbps) or highest bandwidth(8mbps) ?......
