Hello all,
To tell the result, I want to know why compactflash adaptor has been used?
I think Supervisor can switch without compactflash adaptor..?
Is there a reason people use it??
I want to know the words even though you have a knowledge not perfectly!
Regards,
SK

You took off SP-bootflash. You did not remove SP. When you took off SP-bootflash, SP (switch processor) loaded IOS from Disk0.
SP= Switch processor
SP-bootflash is a storage.

Compact flash adapter is installed inside SP bootflash( location you just removed the the card)
The compact flash card is inserted inside that adapter.
Is it clear?

I personally believe that this is only used to place the flash card on it.
My perception is that without this adaptor the sup should work completely fine as they would have internal flash on the sup module.

Thank you.
Then, you mean that you don't know the exactly reason.
It is just your personal thought?
Just storing the flash card on it...?
The adaptor's task is that?

SP is a processor. It is CPU.
