Unknown interface command

Can anyone tell me the meaning of the interface command:

ip rip advertise 15

It is configured on various interfaces but it is not documented on CCO. Does it mean that RIP advertises routes every 15 seconds? the IOS version used is 12.2SX

its the metric with wich rip advertises routes out of this interface.
