Upgrade process of Cisco 3750X Switch

Hi

we do have 2 Switches connected with stack,

3750X-24 working with universal IOS

3750G-12 working with ipbase IOS

currently as above both IOS are working properly now we need to upgrade both switches but can we upgrade both switch with same setup or we have to upgrade both with same platform either ipbase ot universal?

Hi its always best to have the same ios when running a stack but if that's not possible try make sure your major and minor numbers match up in your ios name

If major number does not match then stack wont form , if major matches but minor does not it will partially form so its always recommended these match

major and minor are same but only difference with IPBASE and UNIVERSAL so will it work properly ?

Yes you should be good once they match and same platforms
