            Hello,

I am preparing to install a new M2 module into a NX7K chassis. The chassis is currently on IOS release 7.3(0)D1(1). I wanted to find out how to upgrade the SW on the module. Or, is it that  once I install it it will be upgraded automatically.

            Much appreciated.

            Best, ~zK

            I have this problem too

Just so to avoid any confusion, kindly consider including the output of

            show ver

            show mod

            Kind regards ... Palani

I installed the module and didn't face any issues. I probably shouldn't have posted this question in the first place because there was nothing required in terms of BIOS or software update when installing the module.

            Thanks.

Thanks for posting back to the forum to let us know that you have implemented the module successfully and that no software update was required. I would say that if you were not sure whether software changes might be required for the module to be installed that asking here was a very legitimate thing to do.
