URGENT! Static routing on cisco 801 over ISDN does not work?

Hi! I have cisco 801 with eth and isdn interface .

I have isdn interface that is connecting on ISP and get the IP address from ISP on that interface.On ethernet interface I have the othe real IP network.

I put ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 bri0. (Try the same with diler) The problem is that i can not route any packets.

I turn on the debug IP packet and I get the error that encapsulation is failed.

I have ppp encapsulation on ISDN interface.PPP authentication pass well and I get the correct IP from provider.

I do the same configuration on Cisco 1721 it is working perfect totaly the same configuration.

Is this an IOS thing on 801. I have firewall IOS c800-y6-mw.120-7.T

Hello,

without having seen your configuration, make sure that your dialer interface has ' dialer-group 1' configured, and your global configuration contains 'dialer-list 1 protocol ip permit'.

If that doesn't help, can you post your config ?

Yes I have all that!?

I solve the problem on 801 but what was strange. I solve the problem when I add chap authentication on dialer even if i dont use it!
