VDSL Dialer 0 constant high output rate

I have an issue with monitoring inbound and outbound traffic on the dialer 0 interface of a particular 887 router. The circuit is a VDSL with a max upload it 10Mbps. It's showing a constant high output rate in the region of 20Mbps. I've not seen this behavior before, usually the D0 stats match the virtual interface and Eth0.
