Bandwidth Management

Hi All,

I am very new to SD-WAN , I want to know can the SD-WAN devices we might be going to use have facility of bandwidth management like we have in Bluecoat Packetshaper, as we are looking for all possible options of SD-WAN service Providers

It'll be vey useful if I can get a quick reply as I have to answer my superiors ASAP.

Hi,

SD-WAN devices is not packet shapers. Indeed, it supports shaping but it is like we do in legacy traditional routers. It will be very hard and with limitations to create lots of shaping rules with min/max values and/ or with guaranteed bandwidth.

Better to use separate shaper device like bluecoat/allot etc. with nice graphics.
