Cisco Hosted Controllers Failure Scenario

We are currently working on implementing a SD-WAN solution, the controllers are hosted by Cisco.  I am having a hard time understanding what happens with a failure scenario between vEdges and vSmart/vManage.  Lets say that we get everything working and a site experiences a hard internet outage....maybe we still have connectivity between metro-ethernet transport links but there is zero connectivity to the internet.  Will my vEdges still be able to pass traffic between the metro-ethernet transport interfaces even without connectivity to vSmarts over the internet?

In a given situation, the vEdge will lose control-plane connection however, data-plane remains intact.

The answer to your question would be: YES, vEdge will continue pass the traffic as per the latest routing decisions it received from vSmart controller however, you will see that site offline on vManage dashboard until the control-connections recover
