Local control policy in Viptela

We are currently using route policies to manage redistribution of OSPF routes to a non-sdwan BGP router from all of our sites.

Is it possible to use variables in those route policies? I would ideally like to reference the routers AS number in the prepend statement.

If not, would we be better off using CLI templates to achieve this so that we can avoid a separate policy definition per device?

Hello,

You can’t use variable in UI policy, but you can convert it to CLI local policy and use variable in the policy.
Alternatively, if it is cEdge, you can use cli addon template. For Cli addon template you will need make sure use the exact IOSXE syntax as system takes vs Viptela syntax in the CLI local policy.
