I have an SD-WAN router C1111-8P. I'm unable to enter the global configuration mode with this router.
With C1121-8P I can enter global configuration mode by enabling the autonomous mode.
Is there a similar process in C1111 router?

IOS-XE devices in SDWAN mode works with config-transaction.
Default mode is autonomous mode.
You can switch between the modes using CLI: controller-mode
#controller-mode ?
disable controller-mode disable
enable controller-mode enable
reset controller-mode reset
Check the release/compatibility release:
https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/routers/sdwan/release/compatibility/sdwan-device-compatibility.html
for C1111-8P model (ISR 1000 series model) This platform is covered as part of IOS-XE SDWAN mode.
There is a procedure to toggle between controller mode and autonomous mode.
Some useful info. between autonomous vs. controller mode:
https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/routers/csr1000/software/configuration/b_CSR1000v_Configuration_Guide/day0-bootstrap-configuration.html
https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/routers/cloud_edge/c8500/software-configuration-guide/c8500-software-config-guide/Autonomous-Controller.html
Hope it helps.
