Hi Everyone

I want to advertise the BGP route map in OMP. I am confused that whether the below syntax will work or not in the ios xe version 17.09.04 special this one "advertise bgp route-map test"

omp

  no shutdown

  ecmp-limit 6

  graceful-restart

  no as-dot-notation

  timers

   holdtime 300

   graceful-restart-timer 120

  exit

  address-family ipv4

   advertise bgp route-map test

   advertise connected

   advertise static

  !

We are not getting any option to redistribute bgp with the route map in the OMP feature template , however we can see the option to use route map when redistributing omp into bgp in BGP feature template.

But cedge in cli mode accepting the command.

"Advertise bgp route-map test"

But not sure it'll work or not

Yes, You are right.

But there is no option available to advertise specific prefixes from BGP into OMP, However if you check the BGP or OSPF feature template you will get the route policy option to redistribute specific prefixes.

So how can we advertise specific prefixes from BGP to OMP , using cli template(using route-map) or policy?

We have created a prefix list and route map but I read somewhere that it advertising the BGP in SD-WAN omp will not work.It will accept the syntax but won't execute according to BGP route map.

Can I see doc.

We can use local police to exclude some prefix.
