SD-WAN vManage Webhook Alert doesn't accept dummy certificate

Built a lab to test out how vManage pushes alarm notifications to a webhook server. All is good when using simple http, but when using https with a dummy certficiate vManage breaks the connection with a TLS alert 46 - Certificate Unknown. Is there a way for me to import the dummy certificate for the webhook server, into vManage so that it will trust the cert? How would I go about that?

Any help is appreciated, thanks.

I guess a reasonable approach would be to add the private ca into the /etc/ssl/certs directory as a trusted ca. Turns out the default "admin" user that comes with vshell does not have write privileges to that directory, and i don't know of a way to become root. Looks like i'm stumped, maybe this cannot be done easily.
