Cisco is proud to release Cisco Secure Client (formerly AnyConnect) version 5.1.8.105 (MR8)
Update - March 13, 2025:
Please note: Cisco Secure Client (formerly AnyConnect) version 5.1.8.122 (MR8) has been released as an update to Cisco Secure Client version 5.1.8.105. Customers are encouraged to deploy this latest version. See https://community.cisco.com/t5/secure-access-software-release-notes/cisco-secure-client-5-1-8-122-mr8-update-to-5-1-8-105/ta-p/5270436
There are three ways to access the Cisco Secure Client:
Released this to my test machines today via XDR... the install is killing VPN connections... In the past, it left them alone/didn't upgrade while connected (or at least none of my users complained...??) Did I get lucky? is this new behavior?
@Ken Stieers this issue doesn't seem to relate to the Umbrella module. I recommend opening a support ticket for further assistance.
The link has been removed and all links reference a paywall controlled access above and beyond what is available within the Meraki Dashboard; this seems both criminal and unethical to charge for access for something already being paid for and not providing the most secure version. It seems Cisco Lawyers should be made aware of this liability since it will open Cisco to a very nasty lawsuit when one of your clients is compromised due to being an insecure version and you have made it impossible to obtain it within reasonable means.
