On Monday, October 27th, 2025, Virtual Appliance (DNS Forwarder) version 3.8.3 will be released to the Stage track.

On Monday, November 3rd, 2025, Virtual Appliance (DNS Forwarder) version 3.8.3 will be released to the Production-1 track.

On Monday, November 10th, 2025, Virtual Appliance (DNS Forwarder) version 3.8.3 will be released to the Production-2 and Production-3 track.

On Monday, November 17th, 2025, Virtual Appliance (DNS Forwarder) version 3.8.3 will be released to the Production track.

Virtual Appliance versions that will upgrade to this latest version 3.8.3 are:

  • GA Versions: 3.7.0, 3.7.1,
  • Beta Version: 3.7.9
  • LA Versions: 3.8.0, 3.8.1

CHANGE SUMMARY (3.7.0 to 3.8.3)

  • Includes iptable rules to stop tracking DNS traffic, thereby preventing the connection tracking table from overflowing
  • New configuration option (via CLI) to support the new Saudi-preferred anycast IP addresses​
  • Upgrade of Base Ubuntu version from 20.04 to 22.04
  • Support for VMware ESXi 8.0 U3

Note: Initial Boot time for the VA will be 5-7 minutes, subsequent reboot time can range from 3-5 minutes.
