An SMTP server behind the PIX is being used as a relay agent. Can the PIX block this access?

Core issue

Need to block access from Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) server being used as a relay agent.

Resolution

No. The PIX cannot block this access without blocking all e-mails from being sent from the mail server. Each mail server has an option to disable mail relay. Consult the mail server documentation for instructions on how to implement this.
