How to configure the VPN 3000 Concentrator to filter traffic on the client side

Resolution

To configure the VPN 3000 Concentrator to filter traffic on the client side, create traffic management rules.

To create management rules, perform this procedure:

1. Configure the management rules with these steps:
        
   1. Select Configuration > Policy Management > Traffic Management > Rules.
       
   2. Click Add.
       
   3. Name the rule, enter the rule details, and click Add.
       
   4. Repeat these steps until all of the rules to be applied to the filter are entered.
       
      
2. Configure the filter with these steps:
        
   1. Select Configuration > Policy Management > Traffic Management > Filter.
       
   2. Click Add Filter.
       
   3. Name the filter, set the Default Action to Forward, and click Add.
       
   4. Highlight a rule to add to the filter, and click Add.
      
      Repeat this step until all rules are applied to the filter. The last rule entered must be a "deny all" rule.
       
   5. Click Done.
       
      
3. Apply the filter to the group with these steps:
        
   1. Select Configuration > User Management > Groups.
       
   2. Highlight the group to which you want to add the filter, and select Modify Group.
      
      
   3. Click the General tab, select the filter to be applied to the group from the filter drop-down list, and click Apply.
      
      
      
4. Save the configuration.
