What I have done is buy a tiny USB Hub and multiple USB to Serial Converters ( http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=123071&CatId=464).  I am able to go on site and connect to multiple devices at one time using different com ports and SecureCRT's TABBED view of configurations.

Also another good idea is to have the couplers ( http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=776061&CatId=744 ) this way you can extend the Cisco cable.  Makes the difference sometimes between standing and sitting.

Also,   just found a nice adapter so you do not have to worry about the orogonal Cisco Cable
