Hi,
Can anybody tell me what is the difference b/w 3560 and 3750 switches. Secondly I need to have 10Gig ports on 6509 switch to support my servers.
I have seen 10Gig modules in 6500 but I need 10Gig modules that support normal Cat6 Cables.
Need your help in this regard.
Best Regards,

The 3750 is a device that is stackable via a connector on the backplane. This means that the communication between switches in a stack is considerably faster (32Gb vs 1Gb). I also think it is the most versatile of the two, at least it is the most expensive one. If you do not need the stacking feature you will be cheaper off with the 3560.
The answer to your second question is perhaps somewhat disappointing. You may stop searching because as far as I know, 10Gb speeds are only available via fiber, not on UTP.

Hi,
Thanks for your reply.
Your first answer means that except the stacking feature there is no difference b/w 3560 and 3750. Am I right?

Well, actually there is one more thing that I almost forgot to mention:
The 3750 supports 10/100/1000Mb/s, the 3560 does only 10/100Mb/s.

The 3560G series supports 10/100/1000.
For copper 10GIG you just need a CX4 XENPAK for your 10GIG linecard:
Hope this helps. Please rate :)
