Hi XR community,
Looking for feedback as we plan to launch a public repository for xr7 images and need field input to get the project off the ground with how it will change the future of xr.
The idea is that in xr7 you define a repository for the software, smus, etc and we want a cisco.com repository where the router or a server can pull the rpms. Instead of going to cisco.com and downloading the files to your laptop then upload to a server then to the router. In addition we are going to push a giso tool using this public repository. Think of using Ubuntu and adding a new repository, instead of needing to store the files in 4 locations we can get to 1 or 2 and optimize the software upgrade process.
Any feedback is welcome with how this will change upgrades for the future and the more feedback the better so we can get this off the ground sooner.
