WRVS4400N Internet Access Policy not working

I am trying to create an IAP for a single computer based on it's MAC address.  I want to block certain keywords and websites 24/7.  When I setup the IAP as number 1, I add the MAC address of the computer in question.  I then Select Allow and choose Everyday and 24 Hours.  I type in the forbidden domains and click add after each one.  I type in the keywords and click add after each one.  After I click on Save, all of my computers on the network lose internet access.

Am I doing something wrong?

I have WRVS4400N VPN Version 2, firmware version 2.0.2.1

Thanks in advance for any help.

Marc

As you add Allow policies, the unspecified computers or time windows are denied by default.

I have the same problem of Marc Maltzman... Internet policy it doesn't work on the router.

This is the detail how i'm doing... could you tell me if it's fine.

  1. Choose one number on the internet access policy combobox.
  2. Choose Enable
  3. Create Policy Name
  4. Edit of list PC by Range (1-255 everyone on the network)
  5. Choose Allow on Access Restriction
  6. Schedule (Everyday - 24 hours)
  7. Website blocking by URL i put some domains
  8. Website blocking by keywords i put another ones.

After that i save... but when i try to verified it doesnt work!!!

i Put on the URL browser the keywords or the url that i think if blocking but it can surf on it...

What i'm doing wrong...?

I would also like to know if you can do the following.

VLAN 1 - computers x.x.x.1-99 has x policy allowed x.x.x.100-250 has x policy with restriction

VLAN 2 should follow suit?  Or does internet access policy not work on any other VLAN other than 1?
