A. Jabber Video supports the following minimum hardware and software versions.

Note: To ensure expected behavior and a high quality user experience, make sure that your system meets the minimum requirements.

Operating System

  • Microsoft Windows XP with Service Pack 2 (SP2)
  • Microsoft Windows Vista Service Pack 1 (SP1)
  • Microsoft Windows 7
  • Apple Macintosh OS X 10.6 with the latest security updates

Processor

  • Intel x86 processor, Core 2 Duo @ 2GHz with 2 MB L2 cache per core with SSE3 extensions
  • AMD Athlon 64 X2 @ 2GHz or above with SSE3 support (Windows only)

Memory

  • 512 MB of RAM

Hard Disk Drive

  • 100 MB

Video

Is that memory spec right? I find it hard to believe a system with only 512 MB RAM would perform well for HD video.
