Control-Plane Node

Hi,

I am new to SDA. I want to know which device will act as control plane node. It can be my C9300 or C9500 border device as control-plane as well or we need any other device acting as CP like my L3 underlay.

Thanks,

Hello,

Here:

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/solutions/enterprise-networks/software-defined-access/compatibility-matrix.html

you will find list of supported hardware and software for Control Node (called in the doc: Control Plane).

Regarding the location of control node (i.e. should  it be colocated with the border or deployed on a separate device), I would recommend to take a look at Cisco Validated Designs for extra insights about design best practices:

https://community.cisco.com/t5/networking-documents/cisco-en-validated-design-and-deployment-guides/ta-p/3777320

Best regards,

Mariusz
