Hi,
Is there a limit of how many extended nodes or policy extended nodes are supported per fabric site? I noticed that with the largest Catalyst Centre appliance that 1200 fabric devices are supported per site, are extended nodes included in this number?

As far as I can tell an extended node IS part of the fabric,
that it and also has the possibility to configure "normal L2 access" makes no difference here
so it will count in the max 1200 fabric devices.

Correct, Extended Nodes contribute to the 1200 limit. There is some scale increases planned in the near future. I cannot share the data before release but I recommend you speak to your Cisco account team for more detail. The account team can contact me if they need help. Best regards, Jerome

Thanks for confirming the total number of extended nodes per fabric site.
Is there any guidance or limits for the number of extended nodes (incl. policy extend nodes) that can be connected to a single fabric edge node..?
Thanks

Hi Rob. No limit of EX (Extended Node / Policy Extended Node) per EN (Fabric Edge Node). If the EX are going to be in a daisy chain then max chain length from EN is 3x for Cat9K EX (EN-EX-EX-EX) and max chain length from EN is 18x for IE (Industrial Ethernet switches) EX.
