How is the scale for Fabric-in-a-Box site for now?

We are in planning with our customer to build a giant SD Access Fabric. They have many sites scattered around the local regions. Some sites are large enough to have fabric border/ control node + Fabric Edges and some small sites will have only one to two Fabric edges using Fabric in a box deployment. I would like to know how many Fabric-in-a-box can now be scaled up to?

Regards,

Rich

AFAIK prior to release version 1.3.3.x there were limitations due to the coupling of FAIB and CPN (control plane node). Last I heard the fabric CPN limitation is set to 6 total CPNs. Now they have decoupled CPN from FAIB infrastructure starting with version 1.3.3.x. Which means FAIB without control plane. This tells me that you should be able to run more than 6. Be weary of the following:
Total fabric devices per site::
500/site -- DN2-HW-APL (entry)
600/site -- DN2-HW-APL-L (mid-size)
1,000/site -- DN2-HW-APL-XL (large)
I recommend reaching out to your Cisco reps to be 100% sure on the scale up number. HTH!
