Hi,

is it true that edge devices must have more specific route to DNA C instead of a default route?

If true, why?

This is not true. DNAC have the same function as a Management tool. What is required is connectivity and it does not matter if the connectivity is achieved using a static route or through a default gateway.

Furthermore, usually the Edge use BGP instead static or default route.

well, if Edge Node's ability to run vxlan/evpn/bgp paid more attention (otherwise what is the reason for BGP on the edge node :0) there would be less chances for LISP to become control plane.
