Hello,
I'm currently designing an SD-Access deployment for my network.
The current approach we're taking is using IP-Transit with SXP tunnels to allow SGTs to travel across the WAN.
From my understanding, the number of SXP tunnels required is calculated as follows:
VRFs * Sites * Borders_per_site * 2 (the '2' refers to x2 SXP routers to provide redundancy)
I want to verify that my calculation is correct in case I use the ASR 1000 series routers as the SXP reflectors.
For example, if I used the above formula and calculated that I require 7,200 SXP tunnels, would I need:
a. 4 ASR 1000 routers (4 * 1800 unidirectional)
b. 8 ASR 1000 routers (8 * 900 bidirectional)
Thanks,
Bar.
