Hi

We are full SD Access at work now and I was wondering could I manage a device via DNAC that isnt part of the Fabric on a site? So I want to install a 2 Switch stack in our DMZ I'm wondering if this is possible then maybe I could still use DNAC to keep the Switch image up to date etc.??

Thanks

Thanks

for sure u can do this. this is basically how DNAC replaces CPI. u just skip workflow of assignment device to Fabric Site etc.

To add to Andy's comment: Yes, you can assign and provision a device to a site that is also an SD-Access fabric site and don't necessarily have to provision it a role (Edge, Border, Control Plane, etc.). You can manage it from DNAC all the same as the other devices you have onboarded to DNAC. This device will act as an "Intermediate Node" - https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/solutions/CVD/Campus/cisco-sda-design-guide.html#IntermediateNode

Hi

So we have a DMZ that is at a SDA site but isnt part of SDA,  Are you saying I can manage the switches in the DMZ via DNAC even though they arent part of SDA.??

Thanks

as soon as switches r supported by dnac

cheers

yes if the switches are in the matrix of DNAC support, they can be added to DNAC, not necessary to be part of Sd-Access

Look the matrix support :
