Hello,
On what base does Assurance define the “Inter-device Link” ports?
If one of those ports are down, it results in P1 Event ‘Interface Connecting Network Devices is Down’, and the device 360 health is reduced to 8/10.
Our issue comes with Access Point ports.
Some ports were statically configured (Host onboarding – Port assignment) but now cleared.
Others probably had an AP connected once, but not anymore. (using profiling to identify AP’s and assign the template)
All the 'affected' ports are not in use and down (notconnected).
Assurance keeps on complaining about those ports
Any idea how to tell Assurance those are not inter-device link ports anymore?
Thanks!
Regards Kristof

“Wait long enough until they resolve the problem themselves”, great strategy
Solution is easy;
Goto DNA Home screen and scroll down to;
Here you will notice all discovered Inter-device Links.
(I assume this discovery process works via CDP, because it shows links even before devices are configured)
If you experience the same issue as we had, you will see some red lines here;
Click on the red line, a window will open where you can delete it;
(FYI only links in ‘Down’ state can be deleted!)
After a couple of minutes the device 360 score is updated

Issue: DNAC Assurance Health always showed this 1 device (switch) having health issue, the port used to be an uplink and the uplink to the switch was removed. My version of DNAC 2.3.5.5 doesn't have the option to delete the "Inter-device link"
DNAC > Tools > Topology >Inter-device Link Availability Down
Bug CSCvx42125 - Fixed in DNAC 2.3.7.5
Symptom: Cisco DNA Center Assurance may generate an alert for a network device down on an interface where an end host is connected, rather than a network device, when the interface was previously connected to a network device, but the network device was moved to a different interface. The network topology map may still show the previous interface connection to a network device.
Conditions: This was observed in Cisco DNA Center 1.3.3.9.
Workaround: To workaround this issue, follow these steps. 1) Go to Tools > Topology, and then change the view from Geographical View to Topology View in the top/right corner. 2) Find the device with the incorrect link, and look for the incorrect/old link which should be in red. 3) If the link is showing there, click on it and from the sidebar panel, click the Garbage icon for the link that is now incorrect, but is still listed. This will remove the link. 4) Wait 5 minutes and the Assurance Issue should disappear. If this does not work, or if the incorrect link is not displayed in the Topology View in red, please reach out to the TAC for assistance.
