Fabric Zones / Scalability Numbers

Hi Experts,

My customer is moving to SD-Access and they have a requirement that some VLANs have stay local to the Building and Switches located in this building - therefore i've started playing with Fabric Zones in the Lab.

To achieve the requirement each building is a fabric zone, so I have a granularity which pool resides in which fabric zone (manual removal though).

Is my approach correct or it's bit complicated? Also, is there a limit for how many Fabric Zones can be configured under parent fabric site?

Thank you

Imrich

@ImrichPalascak ,

Your approach is correct. Fabric Zones are a DNA Center construct , and as far as I know the only limit is the limit of the number of floors / buildings in the hierarchy. I have not seen any maximum zone scale. How many zones are you needing to create ?

@sco Thanks a lot Scott for answer.

I'm suspecting around 50 buildings in the city. Each building = fabric zone.

Might be a good idea to have a posibility to create a pool within a fabric zone withouth creating it first in parent site (which is the currect construct) - less administration.

Anyway thanks a lot again Scott for confirmation.
