4/44-Port FC Module

I recently purchased 2 x 4/44 cards for our old servers and I can't see how there can be 4 x 8 Gbps and 44 x 4 Gpbs ports. Can someone please explain if certain ports are 8 Gpbs? It seems that all the SFP's are 8 Gpbs..

I throught that perhaps it had something to do with RateMode Config but I doubt it.

The card still has 48 Gpbs (4 x 12.8 Gpbs) so it looks like a normal 4 Gpbs card to me.

4/44 card (and other Gen-2 and Gen-3 cards) has four port groups. Each port group on a 4/44 card has 12 ports. Only one port in each port group can be configured with 8Gbps speed (they are all auto-max-4Gbps by default). The port can be configured in shared or dedicated mode (shared is default). Your SFP+'s should be 2/4/8 capable, they can support any one of those three speeds. You should refer to this document for details:
