Wonder if anyone would offer some suggestion on this:
I want to use VLAN 100 (brand new VLAN and brand new subnet) as my replication network between two HX Clusters in two different locations (inter-connected via Dark Fibre). However I want to use a new uplink/port-channel, instead of the existing one, just for the replication traffic from FI.
I am planning to use VLAN groups within UCSM to "isolate" VLANs to specific uplinks/port-channels, however:
1. Should I just create one VLAN group to include the new VLAN100 with the new uplink/port-channel? Or should I do two VLAN groups: one for the VLAN100 and one for the rest of my production VLANs?
2. Should I also create a new pair of vNIC templates dedicated for the VLAN100 and use them as the uplinks for the new virtual switch in vCenter?
Suggestions?
