yes, you can have FC-AL devices connect to 9513 fabric. Those ports will come up in FL mode (or if the loop is private you can make them TL ports)

FC-AL is more useful for storage applications. It is a loop of up to 126 nodes that is managed as a shared bus. Traffic flows in one direction.
