We currently have an EMC san with brocade fibre channel switches controlling what servers have access to what LUNs on the SAN. If I connect the san with native fibre channel to the Nexus 5K, could I essentially replace the brocade switches? I just don't know much about SAN or the nexus series, I come from more of a LAN WAN backgroud so I'm trying to catch up here haha. Thanks.

Justin,
The Nexus line of switches are focused on Unified I/O, if you are using native fibre channel and have no plans to move to Unified I/O then you would be better served with a switch from the MDS line (SAN switches).
Thanks,
Bill

depending on the number of ports you need, you could use 5596 with universal ports that can be 1G Ether/10G Ether/8G FC. Not a bad option in my opinion.
