Cannot activate zoneset on MDS

Hi,

I'm facing an issue which doesn't happen all the time and I'm unable to determine the exact condition.

I'm trying to activate the following zoneset:

zone name vsan_200 vsan 200

   member pwwn 20:00:00:25:b5:c0:ff:ee

   member pwwn 20:00:00:25:b5:c0:ff:ef

   member pwwn 20:00:00:25:b5:c0:ff:f0

   member pwwn 20:00:00:25:b5:c0:ff:f1

   member pwwn 50:06:01:68:3d:e0:3f:77

zoneset name zs_vsan_200 vsan 200

   member vsan_200

I'm getting the below message.

%ZONE-2-ZS_CHANGE_ACTIVATION_FAILED_RESN_DOM Activation failed : reason ACA retry exceeded domain 237

I saw a bug (CSCth54422), but it only related to a condition of VSAN with interop 4. My vsan configured with the default interop.

vsan 200 information
         name:VSAN0200  state:active
         interoperability mode:default
         loadbalancing:src-id/dst-id/oxid
         operational state:up

Software
  BIOS:      version 1.0.6
  kickstart: version 3.2(1a)
  system:    version 3.2(1a)

Thanks

Zvika

Hi Zvika

What is the exact topology ? how many switches, only one VSAN ?

Do you have any static domain id's ?

By default, the valid range for an assigned domain ID list is from 1 to 239.

Any other error messages ? (show logging log)

Walter.

Hi,

There are two MDS (9100 and 9200) connected using two standard FC connections.

The 9200 connected to N5K (standard FC) and the N5K connected to &k storage VDC using FCOE.

There are two VSANs, but I'm trying to activate the zoneset to only one of them.

Thanks

Zvika

What is the domain id of all the hosts in VSAN 200 ?

I assume the link between N5k and storage VDC (N7k ?) is FCoE ?

Is this a new installation ? or was it operational before ?

Hello,

I have pretty much this exact issue, and was wondering if you had found a solution. All of a sudden I cannot activate one of my Zonesets with the ACA retry error you have.
