copy run start fabric failing

After more than one year of running without problems, customer suddenly sees this command failing ? any known defect ? (SAN of MDS and N5k)

SWS-01# copy running-config startup-config fabric

This will save the running configuration on all switches in the fabric.

Let's see if it's a CFS issue or a switch issue.
What happens if just 'copy run start' is entered?

cop run start on each of the MDS resp. N5k seems to run ok !

I have to check the exact version they are using.
