CSCuj18375 Alternate Fix

Bug: CSCuj18375

Cisco wants me to do a "write erase boot" which seems a bit silly.

Why not do this:

copy startup-config bootflash:startup-config.txt

config

feature scp-server

end

Go to server, scp the file down

remove the line with the garbage v6 address

scp the file back up to the switch

copy bootflash:startup-config.txt startup-config

show startup-config | begin mgmt

v6 address line is gone

reload

Greetings.

Unfortunately, your suggested process will not work.

You will need to issue the 'write erase' in order to remove the IPV6 address.

Thanks,

Kirk
