When Solaris is using a Sun Gigabit Ethernet
Adapter to connect to an SN5420, GigabitEthernet flow
control must be enabled to ensure maximum SN5420
performance. Versions: SN5420 and 1.8x iSCSI driver

By default, receive flow control is disabled for the Sun Gigabit
Ethernet Adapter (i.e. it does not send pause frames).
To enable flow control:
(1) add the following line to /kernel/drv/ge.conf (this file does not
exist by default): adv_pauseTX=1;
(2) Reboot Solaris.
(3) Verify adv_pauseTX is set properly with the following cmd: ndd /dev/ge
adv_pauseTX (it should respond with a value of 1).
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Flow control (pause frames) must also be enable in the GbE switch.
They are disabled by default in the Cisco 6500
