IP address problems with SN5428

I have a simple question (possibly silly)...

I have assigned the mgmt interface an IP address, say 10.1.1.1/24 and I wish

to assign the ge1 interface an IP address, say 10.1.1.200/24. When I try to

do the ge1 interface the router tells me "Error: network already attached on interface mgmt" so... is this the case that the two interfaces must be in different networks? If this is not the case how do I get around this error?

The same network cannot be used on both the Mgmt and the GiGE. Reason is there is no intellligent variable network rounting protocol running in the SN5400 to make the decision about where the subnetted networks are.
