All,
I inherited responsibility for our 9124 MDS from an outgoing admin so I'm a bit new on the interworkings. I need to add a new host into our current vSAN and zone set. I have the port set for the vSAN and the zone set for the new host, but the zoneset needs to be activated before I can do anything. Can I activate on the fly during the day with no disruption? Currently all my production traffic flows through that zoneset?
Thanks,
-Adam

Hi Adam,
In general, if adding new zones to an existing zoneset (then activating the zoneset to make the addition take effect), then this would be non-disruptive to the exisiting zones.
Here's where this is documented via our configuration guide:
Specificially, this is the statement that should answer you question:
Zone changes can be configured nondisruptively. New zones and zone sets can be activated without interrupting traffic on unaffected ports or devices.
Regards,
Ken
