Hi,

One my customer wants to replace existing MDS switch 9148 version 6.3 (NX-OS Version) to Nexus 93180YC-FC.

I don't see any blogs/document to replace the MDS 9148 Switch with Nexus 93180.

Kindly share your feedback and documentation link for the same.

Hi Amol,
You can verify the interoperability for both switches here: https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/switches/datacenter/mds9000/interoperability/matrix/intmatrx/Matrix1.html

If both the switches are on supported release, connect and ISL between switches and Nexus switches will automatically get popped up with the existing zoning configuration from 9148. Please also make sure you have proper licenses on Nexus, and using right ports to connect FC devices.

But a word of suggestion: I would not use the Nexus switch for the FC fuinctionality. if you are looking for FC support, please prefer 9148S / 9132T. Cisco MDS switches have a lot of FC-specific enhancements that you may run into limitations with nexus switches.
