I have a pair of MDS 9710s and I'm planning to use SDV feature.
The pre-req for the SDV feature is the ENTERPRISE_PKG licence which I do have it installed on the switch :
Feature Ins Lic Status Expiry Date Comments
Count
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
FM_SERVER_PKG No - Unused -
MAINFRAME_PKG No - Unused -
ENTERPRISE_PKG Yes - Unused never -
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
But , when I'm trying to enable the feature, I'll get the following error message:
Switch(config)# feature sdv
Stub Library could not be opened
*** libsdmcli.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory ***
Switch(config)# show feature | grep disabled

Hi Mohammad,
Seems to be a bug. I get the same error.
I opened BUG ID CSCuv29872 for this.
Best regards,

Hi Mohammad,
SDV is a deprecated feature. The bug I opened will be used to clean up the firmware. It should not still appear as a feature and should not provide an error message at an attempt to enable it.

Thanks for the update Jim.
I believe Cisco still need to address this as a cosmetic bug ;)
