MDS SNMP V3

Hello,

We are trying to add MDS 9148 version 6.2(9) into IBM Spectrum Monitoring tool using SNMP v3 but we are not able to do so.

During adding device, spectrum gives error.

We followed following link but its not working, not sure what is mistake.

Following is my config

snmp-server user abc network-operator auth md5 0x40e18612fda72ada6650a145e0a5fd0d1c67590d priv aes-128 0xa0da720a54ada6612f67518659040ed5ecfd0d11 localizedkey

snmp-server host X.X.X.X traps version 3 auth ***********

Please help.

Would appreciate if any one can share running snmp v3 configuration for MDS 9148 as sample ?

From IBM Spectrum User guide:

If the switch uses an SNMP agent, the Fibre Alliance FC Management MIB (FA
MIB) and Fibre Channel Fabric Element MIB (FE MIB) must be enabled on the
switch.

Can any one tell me how to enable " Fibre Alliance FC Management MIB (FA
MIB) and Fibre Channel Fabric Element MIB (FE MIB) " in MDS 9148S ?

I am trying to add MDS 9706 version 9.2.1.0 into IBM Spectrum Control using SNMP v3 but I am not able to do so.

I configured SNMPv3 in the MDS 9706 as belows:

# snmp-server host x.x.x.x traps version 3 priv monitor

# snmp-server user spectrum network-admin auth md5 xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx priv aes-128 xxxxxxxxxx

I opened port 161, 162 from SNMP agent ( MDS Cisco) to SNMP manager (Spectrum Control)
