Hi,
I have a Nexus 5596UP switch with L3 Card. The Management interface is configured as below.
interface mgmt0
description MGMT INTERFACE
ip address 192.168.255.252/27
vrf context management
ip route 0.0.0.0/0 192.168.255.254
The management interface is connected to a 2960G switch and the SVI for the management interface Vlan is configured on our Core switch as below
interface Vlan200
description MGMT-VLAN
ip address 192.168.255.225 255.255.255.224
standby 200 ip 192.168.255.254
My question is - Can I configure the Management Interface SVI on the Nexus after shutting down the SVI on the core switch as follows
interface Vlan200
ip address 192.168.255.225/27
ip router eigrp ABC
hsrp version 2
hsrp 200
preempt
priority 110
ip 192.168.255.254
Do you foresee any issue with this design?
